Adler was National Practice Leader for Revenue Cycle Management
at Tatum, LLC., where he served as Engagement Partner to major clients for whom he developed revised Access Care models, implemented Point-of- Service Collection Programs, chaired Denial Mitigation workgroups, and performed complete revenue cycle transformation projects. He was also a Principal at KPMG where he had national responsibility for revenue cycle management methodology and engagement services.

He spent more than a decade in 
the Finance and Accounting departments of major hospitals including Gracie Square Hospital, where he was Assistant Director of Finance, Montefiore Medical Center where he was Assistant Comptroller, and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center where he was Assistant Director of Patient Accounts.

Adler received his Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Science from Ohio State University and his Master of Business Administration, Finance from Hofstra University.

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Arkwright was Director of the Mission Center for Telehealth in Asheville, NC where he oversaw the expansion and growth of their Telehealth clinical programs reaching over 44 locations and establishing a comprehensive multi-year telehealth strategic plan. His other experiences include working at Wake Forest Baptist Health serving as lead for their Office of Telehealth and launching key regional telehealth programs.


Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Backstrom was the National Healthcare Practice Leader for EMC’s consulting division where he successfully helped startup and build EMC’s healthcare consulting business, with a core specialty in Telehealth and medical imaging. Prior to EMC, Backstrom held leadership positions at several leading healthcare IT and consulting firms, including: maxIT Healthcare, Exogen Healthcare, Ernst & Young LLC, and First Consulting Group (FCG)

Backstrom is a frequent speaker at national healthcare conferences and national webinars and has had multiple articles published in the market on Telehealth, innovation technologies and developing new revenue and care management programs. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Texas State University.


Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Crumbley worked for a large multi-hospital healthcare system in Tampa, FL named BayCare Health Systems. He has experience managing and executing on high-level hospital and health system initiatives including project management activities from idea to execution, strategic planning activities, Clinical Documentation Improvement implementations, large-scale CPOE activations, inventory and finance management, and Cerner EMR management. Crumbley holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Finance as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Florida Gulf Coast University.

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Diedling was Vice President of Executive Advisory Services for Peer Consulting. He has held numerous positions with healthcare IT vendors, McDonnell Douglas and HealthVision, Chief Information Officer, at Lutheran Medical Center and executive positions with international and entrepreneurial consulting firms including KPMG Peat Marwick, HayGroup, First Consulting Group, Endeavor Health Group, Performance Logic and Healthcare Innovation Partners.


Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Guest served as a principal with BDC Advisors, a healthcare consulting firm based in Miami, FL. Prior to that he was managing director with Tatum Healthcare. Before Tatum Healthcare, Guest served as president and chief operating officer of a start-up company focused on the wellness industry. In this role he directed all internal functions of the company and also co-led strategic partnerships with several industry partners. He has also performed corporate finance advisory work while a Director in the healthcare division of KPMG Corporate Finance. In this role Guest worked on leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, highly leveraged transactions, buy-side and sell-side advisory assignments, strategic and financial due diligence and equity financing of early stage companies.

He holds a master of business administration from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. He also holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin. 


Hardy joined our team from Therapeutic Solutions, Inc., where he managed the daily operations of multiple outpatient physical therapy clinics and coordinated closely with senior leadership to drive strategic change initiatives. He earned a BS in Kinesiology from Georgia State University, where he returned and earned his MBA/MHA. 


Jones leads Telehealth/Telemedicine and enterprise medical imaging consulting engagements which includes: IT strategy, planning, financial assessment, requirements definition, vendor evaluation and selection guidance, IT enabled performance improvement, operational planning, emerging technologies, and clinical practice improvement services across all care settings.

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Jones has held consulting leadership positions with healthcare consulting firms and health IT vendors including: Altarum Institute, Exogen Healthcare, First Consulting Group, EMC Consulting and GE Healthcare.


Joshi holds a Masters in Health Information Systems and Bachelors in Public Health from George Mason University.


Kramer has a BA from The Johns Hopkins University and a MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.


Leonard began her career in provider relations with the Medicare program (BCBS South Carolina) and was quickly brought on by PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Healthcare Regulatory Group to help providers identify and adopt best practices in documentation, coding and revenue cycle operations. In that same role, she also led teams of consultants and performed in an advisory capacity to support mergers, acquisitions, and high-profile litigation cases. Her program leadership skills continued to evolve as she led a significant portion of the HIPAA-transition work for Emdeon, directed a strategic system conversion as aVice President with iHealth Technologies, and was responsible for leading the multi-year ICD-10transition for Cardinal Health at Home.

In addition to her management consulting and project leadership roles, she has served as Director of Payer Strategy with Emdeon, Vice President of Client Services with iHealth Technologies, and Vice President of Audit Strategy with one of the Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors. She has demonstrated ability to lead and execute, and a clear passion for client service which has been recognized by clients on numerous occasions. 


Leslie brings a wealth of industry expertise to the practice specifically in the areas of:

  • Telehealth strategy, planning and implementation
  • Post-acute and transitional care strategy and operations 
  • Rapid cycle process design and improvement
  • Project management design and execution 
  • System-wide EMR implementation
  • Meaningful use operational program design and implementation

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Leslie was the Director of Operations & Strategy for Ingenios Health, a personalized, preventative health care organization that delivers technology-based client services in patient homes. Leslie has also served in leadership roles at Wake Forest Baptist Health and University of Florida Health. She holds a Master of Health Administration and an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Florida. Upon completion of graduate studies, Monica completed an intensive, year long Executive Mentorship program at Wake Forest Baptist Health.


McCoy has extensive experience in the full range of information systems and technology consulting services including strategic planning, financial modeling and planning, system and services design and selection, contract negotiations, implementation and operations.

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Marcia was:

  • Founder and President of Access Consulting, LLC,
  • Vice President with Technology Solutions Company (TSC),
  • Consultant for over 12 years with First Consulting Group (FGC) and
  • Consultant with Price Waterhouse
  • Telecommunications Manager at Tech Data Corporation.

She started her career at GTE (now Verizon). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University. McCoy enjoys the outdoors and has been a practitioner of long-distance cycling.


Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners, Nevel worked with the Advisory Board Company and with Mercer Health & Benefits.


Virani has extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of:

  • Telehealth strategy, planning and implementation
  • Project management design and execution 
  • Workflow/process design and improvement
  • Enterprise medical imaging 
  • Vendor selection design and execution 
  • System-wide EMR implementation

Prior to joining Schumacher Clinical Partners Consulting Services, Virani was a senior member of EMC’s healthcare consulting division. He along with a few others built the healthcare practice from the ground up. Prior to EMC, Virani was a senior consultant with the Global Medical Imaging Group (MIG) at McKesson where he was tasked with building out a new consulting service offering. He was also a consultant at Exogen Healthcare where he led many healthcare system implementations.

Virani is an active member of multiple healthcare trade organizations. He holds a Masters in Health Systems and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.


Wetch has a passion for developing new services from the ground up, having had the opportunity to design and manage a distinct-part Rehab Unit, Hospital Medicine service, Clinical Documentation Improvement program, and primary care embedded Case Management focused on population health. Most recently, she has served as Vice President of Care Management for Schumacher Clinical Partners where she partnered with Hospital Case and Utilization Management teams to ensure compliance and guide best practice. Wetch’s collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, advocacy and customer-service promote the fundamentals of quality patient care and overall satisfaction.

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and several Nursing and Case Management certifications. Wetch is a Content Expert Panelist in Case Management for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has recently participated on the Standard Setting team for the Nursing Case Management certification exam. 


After his medical training (Surgical Specialist) Dr. Wagner gained international experience in business consulting as well as in hospital management. He joined KPMG as a Business Unit Manager in International Healthcare Consulting. In this role he was responsible for projects in strategic planning and medical advisory on business valuations. After KPMG he became one of the first Chief Medical Officers in Germany at Sana, where he was in charge of the qualitative and strategic management of this leading Hospital Group in Germany. In the following years, Dr. Wagner gained extensive experience in corporate leadership as shareholder, board member and managing director of operating and holding companies for hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and private spezialized clinics in several European countries.

Since 2007 he is managing his own business consulting projects in the Healthcare Industry both national and international focusing strategic leadership and business development and medical expert consulting and moderation within M&A and change management projects.

Wagner studied Medicine in Germany, Australia and South Africa, he received an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Medicine from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University School of Medicine in Munich, Germany and is a member of the German Surgical Society since 1996.
