Advocating for better patient care is our passion

Federal and state advocacy

Supporting the specialty of Emergency Medicine is something Schumacher Clinical Partners leaders take very seriously.

We’re committed to being proactive. Which is why we’re actively involved on many fronts to positively impact our patients, physicians, partners and the industry at large. At both the state and federal levels, we monitor and influence legislative and regulatory changes that affect all aspects of our industry – from patient safety and disaster response to reimbursement and professional liability.

Our employees and physicians serve on various committees within The American College of Emergency Physicians and The Emergency Department Practice Management Association. In fact, Dr. William “Kip” Schumacher is the co-founder of the national trade association, the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA).

Emergency medicine activism with a mouse click

Our online portal provides a quick and easy way for providers and employees to make their voices heard on the state and federal level.

The “TAKE ACTION” feature puts current issues right at their fingertips. It’s a one-stop shop to monitor current legislation affecting patients and systems, allowing partners and employees to impact these issues with a click of their mouse.

Supporting or opposing a particular legislative issue is as simple as submitting an email.
